I will tell you which laptop not to buy

I thought I would save some cash and get the new P 7811FX Gateway laptop and let me tell you what a huge mistake that was. Without going in to detail the laptop is now safely back in Best Buys hands and out of my hair. I will not make that mistake again. I just have a little more to save to get my 9262 and that is final.

If you are considering the new Gateway let me be the first tot tell you to stay away.

What was it that made you take it back?

it mainly had to do with driver support on a clean install and the customer support at Gateway. After a clean install of vista ultimate x64 even the Gateway drivers were causing blue screens.

Yeah, oops! Look at it this way though, lesson learned and your not out all that money. Now you can save up a bit more and get a real lappy from XoticPC. Plus the warranties and support are outstanding at XoticPC!

I just got my first lappy and it's beautiful in all ways. It's a Force 3298v2. I've already even tried the tech support and its great. Nothing wrong with the lappy as far as we know, I'm just trying to get it to display on my TV which could be a practice in futility. The tech guy hung on the phone with me for 30 minutes this past Sunday and never put me on hold for a second. In fact, we are still working on it. He is determined to make it work, so he is doing some leg work and will get back to me. Now that's service! Your going to love XoticPC and your machine!
