OS Upgrade Cost for ASUS G1

I have been looking at a number of the machines available here and am interested in the ASUS G1. I have one question related to upgrading to Vista Ultimate.

The cost of the upgrade is $234 for the 32 bit version. However with some of the other machines such as Sager 5760, upgrade to Vista Ultimate is $177 for 64 bit version AND you apparently get the 32 bit version too. What is the basis for this price difference?

Also, why is the upgrade to Ultimate 32 bit $234 when the cost of Ultimate is ~$189 at most outlets?

Hello, this is the price for us to do the install along with purchasing the license for it. Unfortunately you have to purchase either the 32 or 64 bit with the Asus machines. At the present time OEM licenses can only take one or the other. :(

Thanks Justin. I assumed there was a valid reason for the difference, just wanted to make sure I wasn't seeing an erroneous number in the Sager systems.
