Hi all. I'm sure a few of you followed or at least read the thread about me getting this laptop not all that long ago, about a month now. Anyways, I've decided to sell it and go back to a desktop as I'm no longer overseas and have no use for a laptop of this magnitude. Don't get me wrong, I love this thing, but it just serves no purpose really anymore. On to the specs (which are also in sig):
WUXGA 1920x1200 17"
Intel Q9650 3.0GHz 12MB L2
Dual 9800M GTX in SLI
4GB DDR2-800 RAM
3 x 320GB 7200RPM in Raid-5
Vista Ultimate x64
Laptop will come with everything except the original box. This was a $4500 build brand new and I don't think a month hurts the price too much, so I'm asking $3800. Thanks for reading.
Edit: Forgot to mention it also comes with the laptop cooler for 17" laptops... The one Xotic sells, of course. =]

Not to be rude or anything but the thread title says NEW. So maybe when people see $3,800 and find out it's used it may seem misleading. Even if it's 1 week old, it's used.
I was going to sell mine and its only 3 months old for $2,200. Of coarse my specs are just 1 step down from your ( see my sig ). I know it would hurt for you to drop it down, but people see they can build a new one for less is all. After you first boot it up it's like driving a new car off the lot. You may see some interest at $3,000, but I wouldn't blame you if you were opposed to that.
And again i'm not trying to be mean, i'm just being honest.
I posted mine up for sale then a couple of days later when I was surfing the web I noticed a burning smell. 10 seconds later laptop shuts off and wont come on at all. Power brick is good, but no lpower lights on the laptop....so sad.
I'm really glad someone didn't buy it from me. They would have been sooooooo angry after it died on them lol. Anyways I guess I gotta use my warranty lol. Now no one will ever buy it from me after they read this... oh well
good luck

I would ask is warranty and support transferable? And what is the warranty? That is very important when buying used and high end. If warranty good and transferable $700 less for one month not bad.

By new I meant the newer revision. Sorry if it was misleading, as far as price drop, how about $3500? Or PM me with offers. And yeah, I am kind of impatient. Just a downfall of my character I guess. =D

Just thought I'd share that I finally got around to downloading and running the free version of 3DMark06... Ran the default tests (of course) and got a score of 13888 3DMarks... Kind of surprised the heck out of me actually... This is for those who doubt the system really. =]
Edit: Also just ran the trial version of 3DMark Vantage. This was my first time running this program ever, so I'm not sure if the score is good or bad. Anyway, the 3DMark score was P9154. GPU Score was 8460, and CPU Score was 12,145.

Another one I would have jumped on if I hadn't already bought mine.
On a side note, how did it hold up in the Sand Box? What did you do to keep it clean/working? Where/how did you store it when not using it? I am getting ready to head over and want to ensure that I don't jack this thing up. Even though I am an electronics technician, you have first hand experience in that environment with the exact equipement that I will have.
Thanks.

Well, we stayed in hotels so there wasn't much to it. I did take it to work a bit though, but it was always in a backpack and always zipped up when outside. Did the regular stuff though. I've taken the bottom covers off a few times and air dusted/vacuumed. Has done the trick and has never overheated on me to the point of turning off.
Oh, something I forgot to mention in the original post... The LCD has 4 dead/stuck pixels. All are in the upper right hand portion of the screen and can only be seen if you use black/dark backgrounds. They're red and green. Just figured I'd point that out so if anyone bought it and complained later...

On the "dead" pixel are those not "stuck" pixels? Have you tried "massaging" them? Might unstick them.

They're different shades of red and green. Two of each color, and yeah, I tried. It arrived this way and it only bothers me when it's black/dark behind them. Really never notice them too much in fast paced games.

So I was thinking about trying to sell this on eBay, then I saw that they take nearly 10% of you sale at sales end? Psh. No thanks. So I listed it on CraigsList. Hopefully it'll sell soon. Wanna get rid of it and build my i7 desktop. =/

I sold a Sager on eBay and they don't take that much. I think it cost me about $30 to sell a $525 computer in the end. I listed it for $0.99 so that reduced my initial cost.
If you listed it on eBay I'd bet you'd easily get around $2500 or more for it in about a week. Gaming notebooks are a hot item there.

Misery this is a good place to give notice but well, not the biggest exposure. ebay and Craig's list are not bad ideas. Much greater exposure.
Woody has suggested selling for $2500. I would love to buy for that. But I simply lack the funds. I think that is a big part of the problem, finding someone who has the money.
Also is the warranty transferable? That is critical.
I am aware Woody's $2,500 is a bath for you but don't think will help sell any faster. Set a fair price and be patient.
Good luck and happy holidays!

I was thinking that $2500 would be the minimum it would go for if your luck was at it's worst. eBay is always a gamble but more often than not with a hot item you get more than it's worth. If you listed it for 99 cents with a buy now price of say $3200 you would probably get really close to that...but like I said, it's a gamble and you have to have an established rep in eBay to be taken seriously.
