It looks like Intel has dropped the price on their desktop line of CPUs and are TDP binning the quads to sell them at a price premium but they are only 65W as opposed to 95W.
I'm assuming this means they would make fantastic upgrades to the Sager NP9262 or OEM parts that would allow the machine to run cooler.
65W Q9550S priced at $369 (http://ark.intel.com/cpu.aspx?groupId=40815)
95W Q9550 priced at $266 (http://ark.intel.com/cpu.aspx?groupID=33924)
They also have the Q9400S at 2.66GHz and $320 or the Q8200S at 2.33GHz and $245 but I'm thinking the Q9550S is the best deal.
Are there any plans by Sager at this point to include these new chips?
