New NP5797 with GTX 280M Coming Soon!

We have just received a updated notice from Sager that the nVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTX for Sager NP5797(M570TU) will be temporary out of stock until end of March.

The end of March is also the time when new nVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M will be ready for the Sager NP5797 to ship to customers.

We have planned to make the change over to the new cards and accept Pre-orders of the new nVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M w/1GB DDR3, starting end of day March 5th 2009.

That is such a sweet machine. I wish I had one, but they are out of my budget range unfortunately. Not that my little Force isn't nice, it still runs like a champion!:D:XPCS::notworthy
I like that lappy with silver trim, although I would still have it skinned if I could buy one. I just have to do that.:p

Is it possible to buy the GTX 280M as an upgrade to existing machines? I assume it's compatible. What are the specs?

These cards look amazing with one GTX280M beating out all but the most recent SLI/CF setups! I can't wait to see what the Clevo M980NU benches in at with GTX280M SLI!!!!!

I wonder if the M980NU will take the crown from D900F (from what I've read the D900F will only support a single GPU) What are peoples thoughts? :)

Justin will that 280GTX be available for 9262 ?? I dont see why not if it fits in 5797

At this time we have been told it should work with any existing 5796/5797. (not confirmed). We will have the video card on our website for purchase later this week. :)

As for the 9262 there is unfortunately no information from Sager on this.

zomgzwtf I just bought my dual 9800GTX's last month and less than 30 days later the 280M's are being released...such poopoo....i want to /wrist. Anyways, assuming the 9262's are the beasts, Sager will more than likely be releasing them for these sooner than later.

Since then I sit back and buy less than bleeding edge and save lots of money.:D

As a consolation in games that support SLI you are still ahead of a single 280.;)

Yeah, now just think of me and my little Force3298 compared to what is available now. Nothing wrong, it still performs like a champion and not that I am having any power issues or anything, I just want a more powerful lappy with a DVI or HDMI out port along with a VGA out port.:D I also keep getting all mouth-watery over that NP5797;)
I am going to add another Gig of RAM soon, so while that won't give more power, it should improve boot time a bit and some small things just to have that extra edge offered by XP and 3GB of RAM.
Unfortunately, it all comes down to budget and I don't think I'll ever be able to afford one of those.
I don't like buying bleeding edge tech either. I figure let everyone else deal with the bugs, kinks and what have you, then when it's all straightened out I'll get that item. I got on the Internet 1 year after everyone else was on it already. I got XP 2 years after everyone else had it already, etc. (No thank you on Vista..yeech).
