Hey there. Just a suggestion to supply laptop specific blank templates for the C surface of laptops, for those who want to do their own custom artwork for the laptop.

Since the additional cost is $100 for the C-Face it would be nice to have a template available that people could use. A laptop specific template that has the keyboard, mouse pad, and any other areas not covered by the design indicated, so that a design can be built around it, without requiring guess work.

For example here is a very crude template and example skin I threw together with an image of the keyboard and mouse from the NP8662 that I found.

A much nicer and more accurate PSD template could be made pretty easily I would think since you guys have the hardware, and know how much is clipped from the stickers and so on.

Something like this would be very useful for us who want to do our own custom designs, and are picky about being as close to as accurate as possible.

That is the only suggestion/feedback I personally have. :D

Sounds like a good idea? But I know nothing about how Exotic does it? I can imagine in some designs cutout is critical for some.

I bet someone who knows more posts soon.;):)

Thanks for the feedback! We plan on looking into something like this in the near future. If you have a custom design you are always welcome to email it to us and we will do our best to apply it to the machine the way you want it. :)

Yeah, working with support over email right now for the top of my laptop. They have been very responsive and quick to get back to me. :D

Even without any templates, it would be nice until then if the Custom Skin page at least includes some basic information for custom work.

Suggested image resolution for good quality, preferred file type, DPI, and so on. Just a few lines of text saying what to send over. :)
