Haha!! Thanks for the warm welcome. It has been an awesome day here at Xoticpc! I guess that Joseph was close enough, although I actually go by Joe. So you will see me in the forums as Joe most of the time. Traditionally I would consider myself a desktop fanatic/expert. However a part of being a computer enthusiast and also being in the industry means that the last few years my focus has been on notebook technology. I am both THX and ISF certified in design and acoustics. So any pc -> home theatre/television integration questions feel free to fire my way. I am glad to be a part of the XoticPC team and am glad to help the community in any way neccisary.
Im sure we will have many future conversations. For now have a great day and thanks for the post welcoming me to the Xoticpc community.

powerpack (http://www.xoticpcforums.com/member.php?u=11013) - You beet me to the punch. ;) Today was Joseph's first day and I wanted to introduce him on the forums, but didn't get a chance to with all the regular first day things we had to complete, so he is all set up and reviewing all we do. :)
Joseph will be doing Sales, Customer Service and other miscellaneous duties at Xotic PC. We are working on our desktop line which both Joseph and Justin W will be working with shortly when we roll our Desktop line back out. You will see him on the forums along with myself and Justin W.
We do have allot of J's in the office. (lol) In case some of you are not aware there is also Amber and Elizabeth that work with Orders and Order Verifications. It is not a requirement to have a name that starts with a J to work at XoticPC. ;):D Kind of funny that it has worked out this way... :D

Welcome to the forums Joe! I'm so excited to see they are expanding their employee base! Its a sign of a company that is thriving which means alot in this day and age. I am thrilled to hear XoticPC moving closer to the Desktop areana again. I plan on getting a new (desktop) system in the fall, problably when Win7 finalizes (or a free upgrade package is out *hint**hint**nudge*nudge*) so I will be picking your brain alot in the next few months :)
These are amazing times in technology: coreI7 notebooks on the horizon, GTX280 SLI notebooks on the horizon, and now XoticPC Desktops on the horizon, h00t!

robamb2002, It is a really exciting time at Xoticpc! I am looking forward to being able to specialize in desktops again. Don't get me wrong I love mobile gaming machines, but my true love would most certainly be desktop gaming. There are so many fun modifications you can make to a desktop that can make it truly yours. Not to mention how crazy you can get with overclocking and various cooling systems now. Everyone at Xoticpc is the best at what they do and the gaming community is really lucky to have a place like this availble to them. A business where honesty and customer service are the number one priority can be hard to find in today's retail climate. Please feel free to send me any questions you have concerning all parts of what Xoticpc does. I look forward to conversing about your new desktop project you want to put together in the fall. The way things are moving here I can't imagine it will be too long before you will be able to drool over the systems we can configure for you.
Have a great day and feel free to post or send me an email with any questions you have.

Looking forward to seeing your desktop lineup. I am going to be purchasing a gaming desktop for my brother in few months and was looking at IBUYPOWER.com, but I would definitely like to see your offers before I go for the buy :).

I am looking. I am not a desktop guy but my brother is and I know you can beat DeLL. He is stuck with a P4 Extreme and we should probably build him a new one but nothing wrong with buying as both of us are busy guys. I am watching. Good luck guys!

I'm interested to know how the Desktop config will work. Are you planning on a having a few (barebones)systems with general upgrade options (kind of like your existing laptop configs) like pudgetsystems. Or were you thinking a little broader with the ability to choose specific manufacturers and components like AVADirect?
If you go the broad route, would you do extensive compatability checks before sending out? I've heard horror stories of companies putting machines together with components that are know to conflict with eachother because "thats what the customer ordered" and didn't inform the customer about incompatabilities. I know XoticPC is above that kind of fuzzy logic, so I'm wondering how you would provide a wide range of options while still delivering a solid system.
If you stay with specific systems, are you planning on reselling like you do with Sager and ASUS laptops? if so, what brand were you thinking of reselling?
As you can see I am really interested to see how this develops :) I think its great to see you broadening your horizons! :XPC::XPC: :notworthy :XPC::XPC:

Robamp2002,
You have some very good questions. Most of which I am unable to answer atm :) But I can tell you that we are coding the site so the choices you make will not conflict with each other. We want to make the process as easy and fun as possible. Like always Xoticpc will take care in ensuring top level service on any product that we offer.
We will keep you updated as everything progresses along.

Sorry I'm late:laugh: Welcome Joseph!:) I'm an audiophile guy myself, not a tech or anything like that, just into all that. (Although I was a sound engineer unofficially for a time and worked in radio as a Music Director/Assistant Producer).
Anyway, welcome! I may even throw an HT question or two your way some time.
Hmm, another "J"...hey everyone let's all change our names to somethng that starts with "J" and really have some fun! (only kidding)

I can hardly wait to see the Desktops. I'm a desktop guy (although I love my first lappy from Xotic). My bank account is worried though.:wink2:
I usually build my own desktops, but an XoticPC desktop is far too tempting to just ignore. If the desktops are anything like the laptops we are all in for a treat!
Although the drool factor will reach critical mass once the line up is ready so I may as well get out the roll of paper towels now.:XPCS::notworthy:biggrin:

Haha Anewbus!!!! You better buy some stock in Scott...because the drool will be flowing.
I certainly would welcome any HT questions you have. I am also really into headphones, which my wife calls an obsession. All of my HT background was in audiophile grade class A equipment. I'm not really a techie either, the only Tech side I am proficient in would be acoustics. You wont find me breaking out the tools to fix your Halcrow or anything :) Send whatever questions you have my way I would be glad to answer them.

Welcome to the threads and to XoticPc. I guess I am assed out if I ever wanted a job there since the J tread is starting to stand out. Maybe the janitor postion might be open when I retire. It is long between my posts since I can't get on much but it is good to see the site and company growning.
