I don't expect to ever have my 8662 stolen, but I may install this anyway just to be safe. So simple and effective from the sound of it.

Prey helps you find your stolen laptop by sending timed reports to your email with a bunch of information of its whereabouts. This includes the general status of the computer, a list of running programs and active connections, fully-detailed network and wifi information, a screenshot of the running desktop and — in case your laptop has an integrated webcam — a picture of the thief.

The problem with these programs from what i can tell, is your computer has to be loged in. So if you have a password on your account, its useless

Prey sounds awesome, but do you happen to know of a program to monitor your webcam remotely and secretly? Not just a snapshot every 30 minutes or so as the theif might not be looking at the webcam at that moment. I've seen a couple of possibilities on cnet but all have crap for reviews.
