Yeah, it's gone now :( I saw it while it was up though.

~1400
Core i7 720
GeForce 260M (option to AS5 or Diamond grease both CPU and GPU)
4GB DDR3 RAM
15.6 1920x1080 LED backlit
2x320GB 7200 RPM HDDs
Windows 7
~6.4 pounds.

Very nice, especially compared to $1591 for only a Q9000.

Around $1400 is great for international customers like me (Canada), so hopefully there won’t be any delays. :D

I hope so, this looks like a fantastic alternative to the 8690. Very interested in this bad boy!

I would love to be mistaken, but this model is out very soon after the G51VX. Hopefully they'll sort out the heat and underclocked 260M in there.

Will there be a choise of CPUs? or just a pricey upgrade choise?

Asus has always had the pricey upgrade build model. Hopefully the 820QM is the default. While the pricey upgrade at times is unfortunate in all fairness when the offering is to your liking you do get a better value. So like most things in life it is a double edged sword. Nice when it falls on the right side of the blade bad when it doesn't.

Doesn't "double edged sword" mean bad outcome for both sides? you have to wound yourself in oreder to use it :)
Otherwise, I believe there'll be several G51J CPU options, but we'll have to wait for these spesific models, as it was with the VX (a1, x2a, rx05 etc.),

OK maybe you got me.;)

Edit: On a further note does this in totality or conclusion not offer neither is the winner? So two bad outcomes I just comment on the lesser of two evils? So My double edged sword might still work? Tenuous at best but I am grasping.

We will be posting up G51J Benchmarks today or tomorrow, havent had much time to get to them with the vast amount of new ASUS laptops launching this weekend. Stay tuned in the reviews section. :)

We have received allot of questions on the screen model. It is the AUO15ED

You got them in already?
Can you tell me if the EEE sticks are included along with the backpack and copperhead mouse?
I really hope the sticks are there.
