Great this is just great...

After payment problems and delivery solved. I received my expensive laptop I ever bought internationally. My friends keep asking me when will I get the laptop so he going to take a look at it, because he is planning to buy one as well.

So you guys should know the answer right now, I cannot recommend buying any laptop (anything expensive) overseas because its risky. You pay for a high shipping price and import tax, just to found you not getting something worth paid for.

This annoying bright dead pixel in the middle just 2 inches above the bottom of screen.

With bright background its okay, but with a black background its really annoying...

Why wasn't a testing for dead pixel in place during the building up and testing stage???

I can pack the laptop back into its box and send back, but for more delays and cost for shipping back??? Oh god I don't want to spend another cent of this laptop, and its probably hard for me to sell it back with a dead pixel..

Anyone have a similar experience, please explain how I go about it now?

Should I just put it up and stick with the annoying dead pixel, because not worth the time and cost sending back.

Or something I could do to make XoticPC for their dodgy practices or better if there is compensation?

I'm not very happy with my brand new laptop with dead pixel and would not ever recommend XoticPC to anyone to buy from, especially International orders.

very sad, cry cry..

It's understandable that you'd be upset about a dead/stuck pixel. The fact of the matter is that it's unavoidable that there will be screens with these pixels due to the standards set forth by the manufacturers. Your situation falls under the acceptable category, and it doesn't matter where you order from - every laptop can have this problem.

Now to the good part. Luckily for you, you have a STUCK pixel - Not a dead pixel. In your case, this problem can be easily fixed if you know how. Go to this website - http://www.jscreenfix.com - and use the stuck pixel fix. All you have to do is leave the scrambling screen open in your browser (full screen) for up to 30 minutes, and usually this can fix your problem.

Again, this is not an issue of Xotic's, this is a general issue all screens have. Xotic is an amazing reseller and if they could I'm sure they'd guarantee or fix any problems like this, but they are just a reseller. This is why they sell the 0 dead pixel protection as well - if you're super paranoid spend the cash. So give it a go and see what happens... I've got a feeling you'll be fine.

Do what Dry said, if it does not work post back and will suggest something else. And of course as said this really is not a situation that is unique to Xotic or really their fault. But I do understand the frustration, best of luck.

I’m sorry to hear you have a stuck pixel on your screen. I can provide you some links on how to fix the stuck pixel, and what the difference between a dead or stuck pixel is.

If you didn't purchase our "0 dead pixel" then we don't inspect the display for dead/stuck pixels and you would only receive our "Standard Dead Pixel Policy" which you can view at the second link posted below.

Less than 1% of notebooks actually end up having a dead or stuck pixel, but there's always a chance it could happen. This is why we offer our "0 dead pixel policy"
