How Do I check CPU & GPU Temps?

I just got my NP9280, my first "high-end" computer, and I need to learn how to take care of it. How do I monitor my CPU & GPU temps, and how do I learn whats ok and whats not when it comes to those temps?

HWMonitor (http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php) works well several others also.

hey powerpack? have you heard of speedfan? if so...whats your opinion of it...

Yes I have it did not work on my last notebook. Many like it. If it worked I would use it. It does more than just monitor temps it can control fans on some systems which can be very nice.
