At CES, Asus announced that they would be building the new K series, N series, and U series "bamboo" notebooks. They followed through so far on the K and N series (both are available here on Xotic), but I can't find ANYTHING about the U series, and that's the one I'd like to have most!

I'm wondering if the good people at Xotic know something I don't about a possible time frame for release of the new U series (specifically, the U53Jc), or if Asus has decided to scrap the series altogether.

At this time this is not in the latest ASUS February forecasts. We launched the U30JC today, but this is the only "JC" model at this time.

Im very confused about the new ul30jc.

It says it has the hm55 chipset with an i3 350m. But yet it also says it has the old intel 5400mhd integrated graphics, which doesnt come with the hm55 chipsets. Plus it claims that it has 10+ hour battery life but the i3 uses more power then the culv processors which have the same battery life listed.

Is this all put in correctly or is there a chance that there could of been a typo or maybe misinformation?

Thanks,
Dave

The Intel Video version is not yet confirmed along with the Battery Life. I apologize we didn't get these details on their initial release information from ASUS. We will have this confirmed Monday.
