I'm on the road alot for work and Iwant a backpack that holds my laptop along with my shoes and some clothes. Pretty much one with a large main compartment instead of a bunch of little pockets like the targus xl which seems to be mainly for holding folders and stuff. Thx

I'll chime in too. This (http://www.amazon.com/Ogio-611211-Boss-Duffle-Bag/dp/B0002PS5I2/ref=pd_sbs_a_3) kind of appeals to me in the sense that it is a duffel bag style and fits up to a 17" laptop. It is a bit more than some of the other stuff around, but it may work well for your purposes.

You should check out this executive clamshell backpack (http://www.briggs-riley.com/category/productDetail.aspx?id=15-point-4-inch-Executive-Clamshell-Backpack_KPC308) from Briggs & Riley. Although I don’t own this bag, but I was reading through its review and thought that it fits your requirements, especially since user is able to fit a pair of shoes/change of clothing in the backpack’s main compartment. You may want to read the full review @ http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/travel-products/1051992-review-briggs-riley-kpc308-backpack.html and see if you like the bag.
