also what is the best antivirus/security suite if any out there

dont want to even go online unless i have one

also want to get a decent surger protector any recommendations $50 range? im guessing belkins are fine

just download Microsoft Security Essentials. comes highly recommended and is free. (I intend to once my year with trend micro is up)

I had an extra surge protector laying around, i think its a belkin, it was for my old desktop which hasnt been used in years, i been using it for my laptops. I think there was a thread about surge protectors and UPS backups, I wouldn't pay more than 50. just pick something up at walmart or target.
