Hey guys im looking for some advice on some items im planning on getting for my g73. I'm looking for a bluetooth keyboard to use when I have the g73 hooked to the flat screen. Is anyone using one on theirs yet? Also the HDMI cable, will any cable do or are there specific specs the cable needs to be? I have seen some posts on here where damage may have been caused by hooking the computer to the tv.
One other thing..I dont have much experience with FPS games but plan on
getting into it when my g73 arrives. What do you guys recomend? From what I have read online the two most popular are call of duty and crysis.
What do you guys think is the better of the two? I'm also looking forward to see how FSX runs on this beast

Most people play Bad Company 2 on here. Sounds like that ended up being a lot better than Modern Warfare 2.

The HDMI out port is v1.3, so be aware of that. If you have a TV with a lower version, you may/may not get all the same features as you would on a 1.3/1.4 hdmi port.
As for a BT keyboard, all you need to do is search:
Amazon Search (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=bluetooth+keyboard&x=21&y=20)
Newegg Search (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010290063+1084907096&QksAutoSuggestion=&ShowDeactivatedMark=False&Configurator=&Subcategory=63&description=&Ntk=&CFG=&SpeTabStoreType=&srchInDesc=)

I've used my HDMI out to my 46" LG and everything went well. It took a little bit to get it setup properly but once I had it going, it worked well. I am running a 1.3 category 2 cable from the G73 to the TV.
As for the games, I'm primarily playing Crysis and BC2. They look awesome on the G73 and I'm having a blast w/them. Now if only I could f'ing rescue Profit without getting blasted!

I play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 alot, like alot. I have also played Bad Company 2. I enjoy MW2 more, I find the multiplayer is better, more options to game types. The drawbacks to MW2, ocassionally you will encounter aimbotters and the game dosen't have dedicated servers.

I'm sure you will like either one. I have MW2 for the 360 and I enjoyed it but I have seen a lot of stuff from people saying BC2 is better. A few friends have said the same thing and I know the Gamestop I go to on a regular basis said that a lot of people have been trading in MW2 for BC2.
I myself have not played it yet. If I get BC2 I will get it for the PC after my G73 arrives.

IMO, you'll never find a better FPS than Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. I even like to revert back to the original CoD from time to time.

I guess this is the right topic to ask my question
I was wondering if I could fit another 15" laptop in standard targus backpack with G73?

Yes, but not in the "laptop" section of the bag, its only large enough for the G73. However I usually carry my G73jh, 2-3 Books, a few 3 ring binders or two, many writing instruments, power brick, mouse etc etc. So yes you can fit the G73 and another laptop in the bag.

The screen isn't more powerful the CPU is in the 2nd one. Unfortunately none of the 15" models at Xotic offer the kind of battery life he wants. So I went with the lesser of 2 evils: Good hardware (i3+ 6GB Ram + BT + Intel Wifi) with a slightly smaller screen and the battery life he is looking for.

Knowing how big, heavy, and expensive the G73W is, are you sure you want something that inexpensive?

I bought the G73JW-XN1 from newegg. This model didn't come with the mouse and backpack. Newegg is currently sold out of the G73JW-A1:biggrin:
There has got to be a carry bag that is less than $80 that is still a good carry bag. I have a carry bag for my old 17" Toshiba that I only paid $30 for it 3 years ago and its still good but the ASUS doesn't fix well in it.

In one review, someone bought this for the G73JH so I know it should fit.

As someone who loves messenger style bags, I would still advise you not to get a messenger style bag for the G73. Simply put, the G73 is big and heavy. Now, if you have to carry all that weight on a single strap on one shoulder, it's going to get uncomfortable fast.
Even my old 14" tablet PC with extended battery didn't weigh all that much (5-7 pounds), but since I'd walk around with it, eventually that weight, plus all my accessories, really did a number on my shoulder. I learned the hard way to keep the bag low in weight.
A two strap backpack is the way to go, especially when you consider accessories like headphones and a mouse will cause the sides of that bag to balloon out in an unflattering way, making it as bulky as a backpack anyway. It does a better job distributing the load between shoulders and back, and is more secure. You're also less likely to swing the backpack around.
Also, because of today's culture, it's actually pretty common to see people, even businessmen, wearing backpacks. Oh, and one key thing is theft. If you get a decent packpack, it just looks like a backpack, something with books, maybe a few personal items, but not quite something with huge value inside. A "laptop bag" is something that just screams "I have something valuable in here!", similar to wearing those tacky apple white earbuds tells criminals "I have an iPod! Mug me!"

 I see... never thought about a backpack in that way. Just thought they were bulkier but I didn't consider the fat power pack in the bag too. Checking now to see what I can find.
