G73 and crysis

finally got crysis.. and seems to run fine on high settings with 8x AA..

what is the max we can play with the ASus g73?

and how can we tell what fps we are getting ingame..?

didnt see a huge different from high to very high.. graphically btw so kept it at high

Google Fraps. It will on screen show the FPS. Fraps is free.

Edit: I have just downloaded Crysis Demo and Fraps.

I just bought the 3 pack of Crysis for my boys.

We have downloaded the demo and it runs on my Toshiba and the desktop. Oldest can't wait to get his hands on my Toshiba. Sigh.

I might have to buy another set of the disks so we can run it on two machines. I'm sure my other son will want to play too.

That sure is one awesome looking game. Had to talk them down from the ledge when I refused to get MW2 after all the reviews for the PC version said the multiplayer mode sucked. I'm hoping this makes up for it.

8x aa and very high i get about 20fps and about 15 in combat. still very playable.


if i put high and 8x aa i get about 30fps just wandering and round 20-25 in heavy combat.. im guessing that is very good for this game....


what stuff in the options can be taken out that increases fps the most ? so ican keep most settings on very high?

AA is my number one to turn off.

I don't know PP, I really appreciate AA. I've got BC2 completely maxed and the details, especially water, are just amazing. I can't wait to see what Crysis 2 looks like!
