I was wondering if you guys had an ETA when the Asus G53 would be available for pre-order?

http://www.engadget.com/2010/05/31/asus-debuts-15-6-inch-rog-g53-3d-gaming-laptop-at-computex/

Hope you're not burned out on ASUS introductions yet, 'cause they're far from over. During the outfit's Computex press conference, a new multimedia monster was unveiled in the ROG G53. ASUS didn't bother sharing too many specifications, but that didn't stop us from hunting down a placard with the deets we were craving. Whenever the company decides to ship it, it'll be available with Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 options, up to 16GB of DDR3 memory on the quad-core machines (8GB of DDR3 on the dual-core rigs), a LED-backlit "HD" display, NVIDIA "Enthusiast" graphics, room for a pair of hard drives (or an SSD / HDD combo system), an optional Blu-ray drive, USB 3.0 ports and an HDMI 1.4 port for piping those 3D signals to your 3D HDTV. Per usual, there's no mention of a price tag, but hopefully we'll be clued in sooner rather than later.

UMI I think he was talking about one of the new models that was announced at Computex.

Looks like a 15.6 inch version of the G73JH and has 3D capabilities.

At least I believe he was, he deleted his post so can't be sure.

To answer his question though if he comes back, nobody knows right now but probably looking at late this year at the earliest.

His post was moderated as a full size image was attached. The G53 model more than likely won't be released until the end of Q3 or Q4. I'm sure it will be a pre-order model for a while just like the G73JH is.....:cry::cry:

Lord if Xotic configures you won't void anything. I think you would send to Asus.

There should be a small shipment towards the end of this month. Probably the third week and then a larger shipment a few weeks following. This shouldnt be as bad as the stock was for the g73jh in the beginning, but it will be scarce at first. Just like before those with patience will get one.

As far as customizations...asus authorizes us to make any changes that you want witb out voiding the warranty. Any part that you change will be warranted by xoticpc for one year and most likely the manufacture of that part for a few years after. We can help after the first year as well to get the part replaced for you. If you choose to change the operating system then we provide our lifetime 24/7 phone support as asus will not support it over the phone. If you have a problem you can email service@xoticpc.com and i will help you with the resolution to your problem.

Feel free to email me directly with any questions you have. If you have sales questions you can email ed@xoticpc.com,brett@xoticpc.com,hutsasy@xoticpc.c om, or Justin@xoticpc.com.

Thanks and have a great day!

Joseph

Lets hope so. There are so many games that are going to wreck my life coming up soon. Fallout: New Vegas, black ops, BC2:Vietnam....yikes! Hopefully I dont let my friends suck me back into playing WoW once Cata comes out. I keep telling myself no MMORPG's until bioware's Star Wars.

Thank for the update Joseph. I am happy there is news, not happy about the news. Might consider changing the Late SEP- Early OCT ETA on the G53JW-A1 page for those considering.
