Memory question on new lappy just ordered

Just ordered my first Lappy! Woohoo!
Just a curious question about the memory. I ordered a Force 3298 V2 with 2MB RAM I was just noticing that it now comes with this new "Hyper X" RAM. In what way is this better than the DDR ****** RAM? To me 2MB of RAM is 2MB of RAM. I'm just curious.
(I know my Lappy will be wonderful).

First I assume that you mean GB, not MB.
Second it looks like the HyperX is a brand from Kingston, which is a very good RAM company. Your laptop comes with

Special! Kingston HyperX. 2GB DDR2 667MHz (Up to 4GB)
As to where on the spectrum of speeds it exactly falls I don't know, but it seems to be just DDR2 667 RAM. Though it looks like its low latency ram, I don't know for sure.
