The excitment is starting to build. :) My first lappy has started phase 2 today! (3 more phases to go after that = QC and testing, etc, then skinning, or whatever order that goes in and then shipping to me).
I'm very patient though so however long it takes to do a fabulous job with TLC in all phases is ok by me. :)
Even though this is my first time buying from XoticPC, I know it will be fabulous because it's XoticPC, they take care of you! :)

Thank you. I got a Force 3298 V2 with a T8100 CPU, 320GB HD, built-in wireless stuff and XP Home SP2 as upgrades and a really super special graphics design for the lid. I'm told it's quite a lovely lappy! It' more powerful and better than anything on the shelves in the big box stores and at least 25% better and for far less $ than what Dell can offer. I did a comparison out of curiosity, (I would never consider a Dell)!
I'm letting them take as much time as they like for my lappy so its really good. The folks at XoticPC are the best! Totally full service and support, sort of a boutique experience at reasonable prices and just super people! A very pleasurable experience buying from them! It doesn't get any better!

Yes sir, they are! :) I almost went with a Dell Precision 6300m (I do a lot of computer animation, plus a lot of gaming), and found out, compared to the Sager NP9262 I ordered, the Sager blew it away in pretty much any 3d or rendering benchmark, but the amazing thing is, XoticPC is gonna get the laptop a full week ahead of time then the Dell so I can take it on my 2 week long "family getaway". Now I don't have to sit through boring family songs as we cruise down the highway (just kidding, that only happens in movies)! But I'm interested in seeing your graphic if you could upload the pic!

The other big difference is the warranty. Try getting even anything close to that from Dell, you can't! Dell does not have Domestic tech support for the life of the machine. They also charge you after one year. My mum has a Dell desktop and I speak from experience. I don't think Dell has 3 years parts and labor either. They offer 3 years parts and one year labor. Plus you'll pay through the nose for it.
Bottom line XoticPC's warranty IS the best in the business, hands down!!! XoticPC also has the best support in the business!! That's why I went with the Force 3298v2 over the Sager 2092 which I was going to get. Actually, they are exactly the same machine, just different screens, configuration options and standard warranty. Plus it took me two years to save up for my Force 3298v2 and I can't afford the super expensive ones like the NP9262, although they are very nice indeed. This is also the first time I've ever owned a lappy. I've never even used one before either. I'm replacing one of my desktops with this lappy.

I'd challenge anyone to go wrong with ordering from XoticPC! I don't think you can go wrong with it.

I might upload the pic later after my lappy arrives. Perhaps I'll do a review and include a pic. I just don't want anyone copying my pic because I designed it myself and I want it to be one of a kind.

how long do the phases take?

how long do the phases take?

It depends really. Based on what I have been told and read in all the documentation here: Counting Phase 1 (Payment) - if you pay by personal check or what have you it could take up to two weeks for it to clear. Other than that method its much faster. Phase 2 (Production) is 3 to 7 business days. Then if your having lovely graphics put on you have to allow some extra days depending on method (skining, paint), complexity and stuff. Then shipping (final phase) varies depending on what method you choose.

If you talk to Justin or Brad or anyone at XoticPC they can give you an estimate with info you provide.

Good things take time. You want them to do a good job, wouldn't you? It will be worth the wait, no matter what.

Thats interesting so lets see if I pay by money order and no custom skin then it should take about 2 weeks to get to me :D. Btw does anyone know how fast UPS Worldwide Saver Express is? Thats the only option available for me and it cost $145. Either way I'm sending in my payment tomorrow. :D

Halest0rm, its best if you talk to Justin or Brad or someone of XoticPC instead of guessing how long it will take yourself. There are a lot of different factors involved besides what parts you want and "graphics or no graphics" and what you choose can effect time.
They will be able to give you some measure of an accurate estimate about your order. Guessing yourself will only lead to false frustration. XoticPC is not a slipshod company, nor an inventoried - slap together & ship same day operation like Dell. These are custom lappys with personalized service yet at a price much lower than Dell could ever do for the equivalent or near equivalent machine. Your also getting the best warranty in the industry with free domestic tech support for the life of the machine. No place else in this industry offers this that I have seen, not even Dell. One has to allow time for a good job.
Do yourself a favor and get a fair estimate of time from the folks at XoticPC and you can hold to that.

Fair enough  It is a fair compromise: good warranty, customer service, and laptops. Just a little more of a wait.... Anticipation can kill me sometimes though lol

p.s. Did you notice this should be in your "laptop in phase 3" thread? This one is kinda old lol

There was someone that popped in here a couple of days ago looking for a laptop and was ready to order straight away, but because they were impatient (2 weeks or so was too much I guess), they decided to go with Dell whom they also believed to have a great warranty. That person will regret that decision. I've not only looked at Dell, but my mum has a Dell desktop. Dell is cheap quality and more expensive believe it or not (I've done the homework on that). Whats worse is their warranty. If your willing to pay an extra $199 the best they do is 3 years limited parts and one year free tech support. Not only that, but if you have ever dealt with Dell's tech support its nothing short of a nightmare.
This is what impatience can get you.
That's one reason its worth the wait - XoticPC offers things no one else in the industry does (quality laptops at reasonable prices and the best warrany in the biz)!

Yes, I noticed the thread, but I was replying to your post which you put here. No big deal. I'm not an admin, just an experienced customer who's had their socks impressed off by XoticPC, so I can't move stuff and what have you.
