There is so much interest, and anticipation, concerning Crysis 3, I thought I'd start a thread for all things Crysis 3.

If you have any information, screen shots, release dates, etc., concerning C3, post it on this thread.

EA officially leaked the news accidentally yesterday or the day before via Origin, I think I saw it. And then it was gone shortly after. Silly EA. . .

          That.

Probably gonna require the very highest graphics card at the time of release...

          Sigh.

EA, is anything ever good enough for you?

Uhh im pretty sure all 3 of those videos are not for crysis 3. The first one is for crysis 2, the second one is fake. The third one im not too sure about, but it looks like a mod for crysis 1.

During MOHAA, they actually supported that game. . .

                Crysis 3 officially announced

                http://crysis.ea.com/en_US/crysis3

The world's worst kept secret has finally come to an end as EA officially confirm the existence of Crysis 3. The game will take place in the year 2047 transporting players back to New York, only it’s now been ravaged by terrible conditions to resemble an “urban rainforest” littered with swamps, trees and rivers. The game world will be divided into seven distinct hubs, each of which will boast of different evvironmental elements.

                Coming home now

You’ll step into the boots of Prophet once again as he goes toe-to-toe against the uber powerful and not to mention diabolically evil Cell Corporation. Cevat Yerli, CEO of Crytek had this to say, "Crysis 3 is a thrilling mix of sandbox gameplay, advanced combat and hi-tech human and alien weaponry that shooter fans will love. Leveraging the latest CryENGINE technology, we're able to deliver seven unique themes that offer stunning and visually loaded gameplay experiences. We cannot wait until people get their hands on the game."

The image leaked earlier is ironically part of the game’s special edition called the Hunter Edition which means it won’t be available to everyone from the get go. The game’s already up for pre-order across the Xbox360, PS3 and PC but don’t expect it to hit stands before 2013.

EA is wasting no time collecting money.

They're taking pre-orders nearly a year in advance. I wonder how many people are going to give them an interest free loan for a year?

Any word on the engine? I did a few searches but wasn't able to find anything on the engine or updates to what is there now.

They said they wanted to make it the best looking game of all time. I do not see a difference between C2 and C3 from what I saw.

What I'm hearing about Crysis 3 is that it will only have 3 activations.

                          Crysis 2 has 5 activations.

The only way to extend the activation code for another 5 times, is to go on this web site... https://help.ea.com/

Type in Crysis 2, then in the next box, "Tech Support", then put your OS in the next box. Next an option for a "Live Chat" will appear;requested it to get 5 more activations.

**** important information. When the hard drive is formatted we don't bother to uninstall the game first...what would be the point right? Here's the point.

If you uninstall Crysis 2, it records the removal of the game so that the next time it is installed, that install is not counted. If you don't uninstall before formatting, then next install is counted towards a maximum of 5, and then you're all done.

So the moral is UNINSTALL C2 first, no matter what.Crysis 3 will use the same protection, and that may be only 3 installs maximum!

they should have waited a year or two so they can release it on next gen consoles! this is pointless.

how many games that is out today use crytek engine anyway? i heard few company license it but havn't heard any company actually releasing games on it.
