I was wondering about 64 bit driver support from vista. Heard a few problems on vista and diver compatibility in some Toshiba and dell models, i was wondering if the drivers included with the computer fully support windows vista 64 bit (graphic card, fingerprint reader, sound card etc).

Also, how is performance compared to windows xp? Is it worth it to install windows 64 bit or will it make the system slower on older game, i heard the requirements for vista are much higher than xp so i don't want to slow down my rig just to have the latest operating system.

Here is some info a found related to benchmarks, these are early vista results with old drivers, the situation has probably changed, but wondering if performance is all that good compared to win xp

    here is another link :

These test have been made in January and February, i'm wondering if the drivers have made a lot of progress since these test, as from these it seems xp is the clear performance winner for games.

    thanks for reading,

Hello, This model fully supports Vista 64. My personal preference is 64-Bit so I can use 4GB. Any 32-Bit OS can only see up to around 3B. For gaming XP does get a little better performance, but in real world use, it is not that significant.
