  • overclocking a sager 2090

    i have a sager 2090 with the t7300 cpu and 8600m gt vidoe card, and i wonder if its possible to overclock it.

    For the GPU I use Riva tuner, it works fairly well in the limited time I've had to play around with it. As far as the CPU goes I have no idea what program to use (as the bios doesn't let you overclock) and would not reccommend overclocking it. Bad things happen when you overclock mobile cpu's, at least to me anyways. Hope this helps.

      I`d stay away from OC'ing any type of notebooks. You`ll kill the components way faster or even overheat them up to the limits of burning them..
      For nVidia GPU`s I also used the RivaTuner , and I noticed quite some improvement , but that was on a desktop GPU, and Fx5200 and it was well worth it . I could play HL2 with High Settings, no AA of course, and I would recommend RivaTuner to any one. But only for desktop issues.

      Notebooks that benefit from a very powerful GPU are already endangered of overheating under high load, so you should even consider downclocking them if possible :P
