    is it possible to have 3gb ram?

    It is possible to have a 1 Gigs module and a 2 Gigs one, but it is not offered on the site. However you can call XoticPc and ask for a custom memory setup.
    I do recommend a 4 gigs to run it into dual channel and have the best possible memory configuration, since nowadays everything is resource consuming, and the 4 Gigs just gotten REALLY cheap. Trust me, 4 gigs will go a long way for everything, especially gaming.
