  • Sager NP9262 Processor Question

    I just recently purchased the Sager np9262 w/ Intel Core 2 QUAD Q6600 2.4GHz

i was reading an article on the new penryn 45nm quad processors they are gonna come out with somtime this year, the results are quite exciting

anyways my question is, would i be able to purchase the new Quad Penryn CPU's and pop it in, or do i need a new Motherboard completely?

and also would i be able to overclock the Intel Core 2 QUAD Q6600 2.4GHz, to 3.0GHZ Stable, with the Arctic thermal compound, or would that be too hot /unstable?

At this time we dont have any confirmed info on Penryn in the 9262.

The CPU does not overclock, we have overclocked the GPU though
