  • Intel® Robson Turbo Memory Question

Hi, everyone, I just wanted to ask you guys that 1GB Intel® Robson Turbo Memory is available with Sager NP 5793 Model, why can't it be available with Sager NP 9262 Model? As we all know this is the laptop which have all the requirements, so one thing that XoticPC's owner would make is that they should make this technology available with this model.
I am saying this because I want this laptop with this technology, please if XoticPC's owner is listening me then he should make a note of this and put this option in NP 9262 model.

I hope that it would be helpful to other members as well.

    Thanks,
    wud appreciate!

I'm pretty sure the Robson Turbo memory was design to be used exclusivly with the merom and penryn santa rosa platforms and that is why it will not be installed on any of the conroe platforms. I havn't done alot of research on this, so others may verify this. Aside from this, the performance boost from this technology is minimal.

And that should just about be enough.

As far as I know.... if your looking to change something like this, tell Sager or more so Clevo. Xotic PC just assembles the Sagers as far as I know. They aren't responsible for design.

You would have to go higher up the food chain than clevo for a change like this... you would need to convince intel to develop a new platform for their conroe line

On systems with over 2 gb of memory, the performance gain is minimal , if not absent .
With the upcoming Turbo Memory 2.0 it is predicted there will be some gains, but higly unlikely. The 926x support RAID stipping and that should effectively double, if not triple disk performance.
