Just received my 5793 and notice a black line in the display, about 1/4 inch in length. It kind of looks like a tadpole with a head and tail. Is this dead pixels? What should I do?

My experience with technology has taught me that it is riddled with problems. I am not quite sure what the problem is with your screen... but I always try every possible solution before jumping to the worse conclusion, in your case a TON of dead pixels. First thing I would do is to mess with the screen resolution, check the refresh rate, and perhaps reinstall some video drivers. If this doesn't have an effect, then I would call tech support. The worse scenario is that you were given a defective screen, which would need to be replaced. Hope you make some progress with your problem and good luck!
